flooded with movie/film Saturday, May 24, 2008 |

This weekend is packed with movies. I watched The Bank Job yesterday as I couldn't sleep when I woke up at 2:30. In all honesty, that film is a fucking masterpiece. Just like the Sum 41 album (I'm old-school) All Killer, No Filler. Just when I thought I wouldn't be going out, I went to watch Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. It's much too long and it was just like any other installment of a British fantasy series. It really had the typical school-meets-fantasy feel that Harry Potter has. Some jokes made it enjoyable, other than that it doesn't satisfy. I despise Harry Potter, full full stop. Maybe it's because I don't like light-hearted fantasy films. Hellboy II: The Golden Army on the other hand, will be AWESOME. I could be watching What Happens In Vegas tomorrow, I'm pretty neutral when it comes to rom-coms.

Movies are a great way to fill time instead of boredom, but those Physics practical reports keep bugging me.

Oh! Robot Chicken's 3rd season is finally up! Love that stuff, devoid of content.

So anything interesting that's happened this week? Apparently ISB flooded on Tuesday, pics!

I need that picture of Sho, Marcus and Isa. Content is gold.

Around 6am, I woke up to find..

This is TeaCat, he's a nice cat. I like this cat. I sleep with a guitar next to me, there's no where else to put it ><"

Longest picture post up to date?

Lol..

On a similar note, try saying Racer X or Rex Racer over and over again. You get both names by doing that, there's a word for such a thing but I can't recollect it right now.

Basically right (in the London accent), I'll be MIA for some time. It'll be approximately a few weeks, I might squeeze in a post or two during the mid term break but lets see how things go first.

Stay strong, as I will. I don't want to lose my grip. I predict these next few weeks to be quite hectic. So lets take care of and look out for each other mkay?

wild, wild, what Sunday, May 11, 2008 |

Chillin' out to The Beatnuts right now. Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West and Justice are also in the playlist. To be honest, I can't be arsed to do:

The 2nd draft of my personal statement

comma

Maths matrices questions

and

ITGS word document questions

IB is seriously putting a toll over me, the upcoming Malay written exam isn't helping with my well-being either. I would make an absolutely emo post about school, but I shan't.

On a completely unrelated note, my hair's getting long. It looks like I can finally use the Gatsby Air Rise (Green one) to its purpose PLUS it smells like green apples. Although, I have been using some old-school Gatsby Blue lately. It keeps everything from flying around and smells like orange too! I care too much about my hair, it's pathetic really. So to counter this, I'll just let it grow until it looks like it really needs a cut.

There haven't been posts with pictures lately, so here's a very random picture of hair wax that I've been eyeing on today:
Since Shotaro wont get me his, yeah this is the secret to his hair lol:

I've attempted to order stuff online again, hopefully it'll go the way things I've planned. It's NOT that hair wax by the way. That'll be for next time =P. Its going through Afnan's MyUS thingy, it's a redirecting service. The order status is still on 'Pending Shipment', which will hopefully be changed in the next 3-4 days.

I miss playing Squash, definitely going to pick it up again the following week after the one starting tomorrow. I need to find some way of getting it verified as on of my CAS activities so I can up my Action hours, of which are currently 0 out of 50.

It seems like I've forgotten what else that I wanted to type, my mind's completely blank right now. I seem to be forgetting plenty of things lately..

Except you, =)

Watched Speed Racer last night. I found it enjoyable to say the least. RottenTomatoes says it's crap. Some parts were pretty generic and predictable. What makes this film stand out are the visual effects, which can get trippy at times. The costume designs are VERY Willie Wonka-esque. People who love bright colours will adore this movie's constant barricade of the colour spectrum. My favourite parts of the film are the car scenes where they use their weaponry and stuff, it is well awesome. The best way I can describe this is a more colourful The Matrix but with pimped-out cars. It can be very immature/silly at times, but it all adds up to the fact that Speed Racer was intended for children. The Wachowski's do a great job of giving the movie an Asian feel to it, and slipping in loads of philosophical whatnot into the film. Words of caution though, you have to concentrate or else you'll lose the plot. This film is very fast paced. Also often has flashbacks and premonitions. Overall, a good movie if you want to experience a very different (I wouldn't say it's unique) film. Hardly cheesy, just a tad bit tacky and predictable.

HOWEVER, if you're torn between Speed Racer and Iron Man...

Iron Man is the pwnage.

Lets just hope it'll arrive before then.. A surprise is a surprise, no hints~ =D

don't feed the addiction Tuesday, May 6, 2008 |

So, I've started playing Ragnarok Online again. After nearly a year of staying away from games and anime. I'm glad I can easily avoid anime now, its completely out of my system. Although, I've had the urge to play RO again for a couple of weeks now. I feel so guilty. For those of you who saw me at school, ever wondered why I suddenly have eyebags? Well, its the stupid game. It made me stay up till 1am last night, when I was supposed to be doing English World Lit and/or Motion Of a Falling Object IA. I MUST resist, exams are looming as well. What a great way to start revising, (sigh).

I started the Group 4 project with my designated group today. I'm definitely looking forward to the trip, as I've heard of the Yacht Club but never have been there and this is my chance to finally see what it's like! I am definitely NOT looking forward to more sunburns though, times like this make me wish I have normal skin lol.

I have too many guitars.

I want to sell at least two of them. The Greg Bennett Interceptor, and the Behringer Stratocaster copy.

The Strat is my first electric, it has TONS of sentimental value but I feel like it has to go. The Interceptor is a great guitar, but it doesn't live up to its expectations anymore.

If I get to sell those two, I'd be left with just the Epiphone Gothic Explorer and the Jackson Sustainiac Dinky. Both are freaking awesome!

The Explorer is great for practice and heavy metal. The fat, mahogany tone is to die for especially with the EMG 81 in the bridge position. It nails that pre-Live for rebirth Syu tone that I find to be absolute bliss to this very day. The bad thing about this guitar, is because it's huge.

The Jackson is a phenomenal live-situation guitar. It has a brighter tone, more cutting. This makes it awesome for solos and shredding. The Sustainiac system is a godsend. Putting in the Dimarzio Evolution is the best thing I've ever done to a guitar. Pretty much this is Steve Vai's guitar, just slightly different. The crimson colour is pure class.

Lets see, I hate the Marshall MG100DFX and Zoom G9.2tt. As learnt from Battle of The Bands and Music Fobissea. I wish I have a Mesa/Boogie Mark IV. That thing is O_O.

Lots of guitar terminology here, writing about my guitar stuff was a completely random idea.

I can't wait till that day, =]

i am iron man Friday, May 2, 2008 |

Dun.. Duuun.. dun-dunduun.. bunch-of-notes-which-i-cannot-translate..

Anyway, watched the new Iron Man film with the family just now. It (not just was) IS AWESOME! It's not that much of a family film but it DID cater for the whole family.. Well with some parts it did, sort-of. Maybe not, ._.

I think its time to cut my hair 'cause Gatsby Grunge mat doesn't hold well anymore, falls flat like a pancake all the time. I have to re-fluff it constantly. I'm thinking of cutting my hair tomorrow, currently I'm torn between these two styles:

I am aiming for the second one, the first is just in case. What do you think? I'm giving my hair one last chance tonight, I'm going to try the Grunge mat but with more of it. Maybe I should try that old Korean wax that's been sitting around for nearly a year, lol. Plus, I'm going to I Lotus later. Buttermilk prawns man! I'm gonna scare people with my grey contacts later, :P. That is, if I can see with them, wrong degree.. worth a try!

We are meant to be, and it's just you and me =)
